How would you explain your research in 3 sentences to someone who is not in Science?
I am working on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease and trying to determine any biomarker that can help in early prognosis of this fatal disease. My work is mainly focused on molecular analysis of marker proteins in human samples as well their in-vitro characterization.
More about you?
For my friends I am a chatter box while for others I may be a bit shy…. In short I am an ambivert. I love to dance and poetry fascinates me. Music is the best therapy for me when I am feeling low. I hate people who are double faced and believe that whatever happens, happens for the best.
About your work?
I am working as a research associate in project which is mainly focused on biomarker analysis in ALS patients. As a research associate my responsibilities are to plot the execution plan of the experiments with PI consultation and to help JRF in the project with the experimental protocols. Being in GLP lab, I also share some of the responsibilities with QA and PI in maintaining quality in research work along with submentoring of researchers in lab.
